Using a soft, almost antique green, I have created an understated work featuring a stylized Acanthus. A design that has been used in many forms for centuries, I have long wanted to incorporate one in an artwork . Creating a textured background by layering paint and pressing sheets of plastic into the still wet paint, the work contains added interest.
The work is ready to hang with sturdy D rings and quality, coated wire.
